Shiur Acher (meaning: different lesson) focuses on expanding opportunities for disadvantaged children by connecting between schools in low-income neighborhoods and volunteer resources, offering high quality education.

Founded in 2002, Shiur Acher aims to change the way children perceive themselves utilizing a low cost/high impact approach. Shiur Acher recruits volunteers – accomplished professionals – through their place of employment as teachers in Israeli schools teaching “different lessons” in their own field of expertise.
