IVN New York Event

With an amazing turnout of 80 guests, IVN held a Start-Up Nation Meets Social Entrepreneurship event on May 24th, 2012, in New York City. The event, introducing Israel’s emerging sector of social enterprise, was held at the official residence of the Consul General of Israel in New York; generously hosted by the Consul General, Mr. Ido Aharoni.

In attendance were business executives, philanthropists and community leaders from Israel and the U.S. including Marcia Riklis – UJA Campaign Chair, Richard Stone – Chair of Conference of Presidents and Nili Shalev – Israel’s Economic Minister to North America. The evening’s speakers, Ambassador Ido Aharoni, Eric Benhamou – IVN Chairman, Avi Fogel – IVN Board Member & serial entrepreneur, and Taly Dunevich – IVN’s U.S. Director, spoke about the importance of developing Israel’s social business sector and IVN’s role in this arena.

The evening’s atmosphere was fantastic and the Q&A session stimulating and thought provoking. We have since received wonderful feedback regarding the evening, together with a deep interest in IVN’s unique leadership role and contribution to Israel’s changing social landscape. Thank you very much to Ido Aharoni for his warm and gracious hospitality.
