KitePride is a boutique factory that provides new opportunities, a safe and empowering work environment and new tools for victims of the sex trafficking industry. KitePride was established by GlowbalAct, an Israeli Swiss NGO that combats human trafficking on a global scale. In 2014, the entreperneurs of the organization moved to Israel and formed collaborations with Israeli organizations in order to offer employment rehabilitation for women and men in the cycle of prostitution.
KitePride is a boutique factory that produces unique bags with added value of protecting the environment, since all bags are made of high-quality recycled material: old and broken kitesurfing kites, sails and parachutes. The usage of recycled material is not coincidental: KitePride seeks to give renewed hope and pride to those who are rehabilitated – or in other words renew the spirits of both Kites and people. Today, the factory employs more than 10 employees.
