IVN’s End-of Year Event

IMG-20160120-WA0010On January 19th, dozens of IVN mentors, members and entrepreneurs filled the Na Laga’at Center (meaning: please touch), a meeting place for the deaf, the blind, the deaf-blind and the general public to engage in dialogue. The evening was a wonderful opportunity for IVN’s portfolio ventures and tens of dedicated, volunteer business mentors to meet face to face, share experiences and generate new ideas.  IVN CEO Michal Simler gave an overview of the organization’s activities over the past year, new projects and social investment funds being managed by IVN; NICE founder and IVN Vice Chairman Benny Levin spoke about IVN in 2016 and the future of Israel’s social business sector. The mentors and social business entrepreneurs took part in a Speed Venture Networking session (much like speed dating), both providing and gaining insight into the challenges of Israel’s social business sector.

We have since received wonderful feedback regarding the sense of community that the evening created, together with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and commitment regarding the emerging world of social business in Israel.
